Keep your register. Get your store seen.

Your store has what people are looking for, but apps can’t always tell. Canter connects to the scanner you already use, so what you sell can start to show up, without changing how you run the store.

What owners ask first.

Do I have to replace my register?
No. Canter works alongside the register you have. Right now it needs a register that takes a USB barcode scanner. Not every setup has been tested, so we check yours before anything ships.
Will it slow down my checkout?
It’s designed not to. Your cashier scans the same way as today, and the scan reaches your register as it always has. If it causes you any trouble at the counter, we want to hear about it the same day.
How hard is it to set up?
It’s meant to be something you can do yourself, with clear steps in the box. If you get stuck, a person on our team will help.
What do I get out of it?
It depends on what’s available in your area. Today that mostly means a catalog built from what you actually sell, and more accurate listings on delivery apps. We’ll tell you exactly what applies to your store up front.
What information is shared, and with whom?
The connection sees barcodes scanned at your counter, and when. The agreement spells out what’s shared and with whom. You read it before anything is installed, and you can ask us anything about it.
What does it cost?
We don’t publish a price here because programs differ by area and partner. You’ll get the cost, if there is one, in writing before you agree to anything.
Who is behind this?
The team behind Nightcap, which builds point-of-sale and delivery tools for independent liquor and convenience stores. If you need help, you’ll reach a person on that team.
